This offers a new and intuitive way to access this site's selection of course plans. The content is categorized by the staff members' primary and secondary roles. These suggested plans do not include all the 100+ courses now available on this website; you are free to add to or change the courses included in these training plans, based on the needs of your staff.
A sample certificate is available for you to award to all staff who complete each of these training schedules or modules. A link to the certificate is at the bottom of each training schedule. Feel free to personalize these for your own ministry.
Our long-range goals are to offer a variety of resources for each course offered on this website. Here is a list of the materials that may be included. Not all courses will have all of these items.
Video files for most courses are too long to place on this website. If they are listed for a specific course, the video or audio files can be obtained by contacting the Global Teen Challenge office on the Contact Us page. There may be a cost to have those materials shipped to you.
The staff training courses are offered at three levels.
Level 1 courses are for entry level staff, providing basic level training for new staff and others involved in day-to-day work responsibilities at Teen Challenge.
Level 2 courses are for mid-level leaders, targeted for staff who already have experience in Teen Challenge work and are involved in supervising other staff.
Level 3 courses are advanced courses, targeted for staff who provide supervision of the Teen Challenge program and serve in top-level leadership of the major divisions of the organization.
All of these courses can be used for personal study, or they can be used for training the staff in your organization.
Some of the training courses may be more relevant depending on the responsibilities assigned to a staff. However, in one sense, every staff is a leader at some level, and leadership skills need to be developed to enhance one's effectiveness in working at Teen Challenge.
The Staff Training materials are grouped into eight major "Tracks." When you click on one of the eight Tracks, it will reveal all the "Topics" under that Track.
When you click on a Topic, it will reveal all the "Courses" under that Topic. When you click on one of the Courses, a "Course Title Page" will come up, giving basic information about the course and a brief description of what the course is about.
If the course is available in more than one language, those languages will be listed on the Course Title Page.
The search tool only searches the titles, descriptions, or keywords linked to a course or resource. The search tool is currently unable to search all the content of each uploaded item.
Search options:
In the lower part of the Course Title Page you will see the list of materials that are available for viewing or downloading.
Simply click on the "Download" button and it will download that item to your computer.
The materials you can download are divided into two categories--Required and Supplemental. The "Required" materials are those that have been designed for use with this course. The "Supplemental" materials are resources that relate to the issues covered in this course. The supplemental materials may be helpful if you desire to do further study on this issue.
If this course has the materials in more than one language, the names of the other languages will be listed after the title of particular item--Spanish, French, etc. Where no language is listed, that item is in English. In some courses offered in multiple languages, not all of the items may be available in every language.
